About
The Conveyor is a supply chain publication for ecom and retail operators.
Instead of covering just the news, I cover how the best companies are responding to it - the decisions they've made, the trade-offs they weighed, and the lessons they learned the hard way. So you can learn from their experience and make better calls in your own operations.
Why this exists
Hi, I'm Gowtham. For seven years, I ran a PCB manufacturing company in Toronto. When COVID hit and supply chains collapsed, I found myself constantly searching for answers. Should I stockpile components? Switch suppliers? Renegotiate contracts? | ![]() |
The news told me what was happening - port delays, chip shortages, shipping rates exploding. But it rarely told me what to do about it.
You know what actually helped?
Conversations with other operators facing the same problems. They'd share what they tried, what worked, what flopped. Those informal chats were more valuable than any industry report I could find.
That experience taught me something: the best supply chain advice isn't in the news or white papers. It's in the heads of operators who've already done the work.
There's just one problem: That knowledge is scattered, hard to access, and not written down anywhere.
The Conveyor is my attempt to get it out.
What to expect
A weekday newsletter - The supply chain news that matters, with context and a point of view. Built for professionals who quickly want to stay informed.
Tactical insights - Deeply researched, interview-driven articles on how supply chain leaders are solving hard problems. I go deep with the people who've done the work - how they scoped it, what trade-offs they made, what they'd do differently. The kind of tactical detail you'd get from a great conversation with a peer who’s slightly ahead of you.
Curated dinners - 20 supply chain leaders in a room, that'll bring you closer to how top teams are making decisions right now and help you pressure-test your own.
