Boston Scientific has resumed shipments for most products about two weeks after a cyberattack disrupted its global operations. The incident affected the medical device maker’s ability to manufacture products, as well as process and ship customer orders.
The company said customers can now submit orders electronically as it works to restore full shipping capabilities for other products and sites. Boston Scientific is progressively moving orders through fulfillment as systems come back online. It warned, however, that clearing the existing backlog will take time as operations return to normal capacity.
Boston Scientific said it has growing confidence that unauthorized access was limited to select internal-facing IT infrastructure. It is investigating the incident with CrowdStrike and other third-party experts.
The attack is among several targeting medical device makers this year, including Stryker, Medtronic, Abbott and Intuitive. Boston Scientific initially said it had not determined whether the incident would have a material financial impact. The company has already cut its 2026 sales and earnings forecasts twice this year.
