Terms of Service
Last updated: June 9, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, newsletters, content, events, and services (the "Service") provided by Purplefin Consulting Inc., operating as The Conveyor ("The Conveyor," "we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1) Who we are. The Conveyor is a media publication providing news, analysis, newsletters, and related events focused on supply chain and operations. Our content is general information for professionals, published for editorial purposes.
2) Eligibility. You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction (and at least 18) to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3) Accounts and subscriptions. Some features (our newsletters, or a free account) require an email address or registration; you agree to provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Our newsletters are currently free; if we introduce paid products, additional terms will apply and be disclosed at purchase. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
4) Our content and intellectual property. All content we publish — articles, newsletters, case studies, guides, data, charts, graphics, logos, and the "The Conveyor" name and branding — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and read our content for your own personal and internal professional use. You may share links to our content. You may not copy, republish, redistribute, sell, scrape, data-mine, use to train AI/ML models, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission, except brief quotations with attribution and a link.
5) Acceptable use. You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms; access the Service via automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) except standard search-engine indexing; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems; interfere with or disrupt the Service; misrepresent your identity or affiliation; or use our content to build a competing product or dataset.
6) User submissions. If you send us replies, feedback, comments, or other materials ("Submissions"), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and publish them (e.g., to feature a reader reply), and you represent you have the right to share them. We are not obligated to use any Submission and may edit for length or clarity.
7) Sponsorships, advertising, and third-party content. The Service may include sponsored content, advertisements, and links to third-party websites, products, or services; sponsored content is identified as such. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party websites, products, services, sponsors, or vendors, including any interactions or transactions between you and them. Any dealings with third parties are solely between you and that third party. Inclusion of a sponsor, advertiser, or linked third party is not an endorsement, and we make no warranties about them.
8) Disclaimers. Informational only. Our content is provided for general informational and editorial purposes. It is not professional, legal, financial, tax, investment, or business advice and should not be relied upon as such. Supply chain decisions are highly context-specific; you are responsible for evaluating any information and seeking appropriate professional advice before acting. No warranty. The Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
9) Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Purplefin Consulting Inc., its owners, officers, employees, contributors, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) CAD $100.
10) Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Purplefin Consulting Inc. and its owners, officers, employees, contributors, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your Submissions, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.
11) Termination. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including suspected violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification) survive termination.
12) Changes. We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. For material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13) Governing law and disputes. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada for any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights in your jurisdiction.
