Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Purplefin Consulting Inc., operating as The Conveyor ("The Conveyor," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit theconveyor.co, subscribe to our newsletters, create an account, attend our events, or otherwise interact with us (the "Service").
1) Information we collect. Information you give us: email address, and optionally name, company, job title, and similar information you provide when subscribing, registering, or filling out a form; plus communications such as replies, survey responses, and event registrations. Information we collect automatically: IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, links clicked, email opens/clicks, and approximate location, via cookies, pixels, and similar technologies (including those of our email and analytics providers). From third parties: we may receive information from our service providers and, where you have consented, from event or sponsor partners.
2) How we use information. To send and deliver the newsletters and content you request; operate, maintain, personalize, and improve the Service; measure engagement and analyze usage; communicate with you and send service or marketing messages (you can opt out of marketing anytime); run and administer events, webinars, and surveys; protect the security and integrity of the Service and enforce our Terms; and comply with legal obligations. Legal bases (where GDPR/UK GDPR applies): consent, legitimate interests, and legal compliance.
3) Cookies and tracking. We and our providers use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember preferences, measure engagement (including email opens and clicks), and analyze usage. You can control cookies through your browser; some features may not work without them. Where required, we obtain consent for non-essential cookies.
4) How we share information. We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share it: with service providers that process data on our behalf (email/newsletter platform, hosting, analytics) under contracts limiting their use; with sponsors and partners only with your consent (e.g., if you register for a sponsored webinar, download sponsored content, or opt in to be connected with a vendor — we make this clear at the point of collection, and you can decline); for legal and safety reasons when required by law or to protect rights and safety; and in a business transfer (merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets), subject to this Policy. Depending on your jurisdiction, certain data-sharing may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" under laws like California's CCPA/CPRA; where applicable, we honor opt-out rights (see "Your rights").
5) Data retention. We keep personal information as long as needed to provide the Service, for legitimate business purposes, and to meet legal obligations. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we delete or de-identify it, subject to records we are required or permitted to retain.
6) Your rights and choices. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to: access, correct, update, or delete your personal information; opt out of marketing emails (unsubscribe link in any email); object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent; opt out of the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising (where applicable); and request a copy of your information. To exercise these, contact [email protected]. We respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
7) International transfers. We are based in Canada; our service providers may process information in Canada, the United States, and other countries, which may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards.
8) Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9) Children. The Service is intended for professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10) Third-party services. The Service is delivered using third-party platforms (including our newsletter provider, beehiiv) and may link to third-party sites. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.
11) Changes. We may update this Policy and will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date.
