Gaia Dynamics has raised $7 million in an oversubscribed seed round led by Corazon Capital, with Lobby Capital joining existing backers Andrew Ng’s AI Fund and Zenda Capital.
The Palo Alto company, which launched in late 2024, sells AI software that classifies products under tariff codes, calculates duties, audits customs entries and tracks trade regulations across 48 countries. Gaia says the platform runs at up to 200 times the capacity of a manual workflow.
US customs duty collections ran at a $326 billion annual rate in the second quarter, about four times their 2019 level, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

Annual recurring revenue grew 8x over the past 12 months, with close to 800 accounts onboarded, Ventureburn reports. Gaia says it became the first AI application to ace three consecutive US Customs Broker License Examinations.
The new money goes to hiring and new trade-intelligence features before year-end. It follows a $1.5 million pre-seed round in February 2025, also led by AI Fund and Zenda.
“Global trade is changing too quickly for companies to manage it through disconnected systems, spreadsheets, and periodic reviews,” said Gaia Dynamics co-founder and CEO Emil Stefanutti.
