The news: Humanoid, a London-based robotics company, raised a $152 million Series A at a $1.35 billion valuation, making it Europe's first pure-play humanoid-robotics unicorn.
Prime Movers Lab led the round. Bosch, Schaeffler, Fubon Financial’s venture arm, and Bernard Arnault's Aglaé Ventures joined. The company has raised $270 million since it was founded in 2024.
What it makes: Humanoid is building a wheeled, two-armed robot for factories and warehouses, run on an in-house AI system it calls KinetIQ. The company is leading with the wheeled version rather than a walking one. That is the model entering mass manufacturing first.
The company reports its robot completed an 8-hour shift at a Siemens factory, moving about 60 totes an hour with a pick-and-place success rate above 90%.
The manufacturing backing: Bosch will build the robots as Humanoid’s contract manufacturer. Schaeffler, the German auto-parts and bearings maker, is both an investor and a customer, under what Humanoid calls its largest commercial agreement, to deploy thousands of the robots across manufacturing plants.
What's next: Humanoid says the funding will support its first commercial deployments and the start of mass manufacturing of the wheeled robot.
